Base Leader’s Training in Harpenden

Lynn and the International Chairman’s Team host week-long YWAM base leader’s trainings throughout the year all over the world. Their most recent training, in Jinja, Uganda received characteristically great reviews. Teri, one of Lynn’s co-leaders, reports the following:

The week of training for YWAM’s top 60 leaders from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania gave them a much needed shot in the arm and resetting of compasses.

The red earth and the flowers and the smiles of people, the hospitality, the obvious signs of healing of injustices, the renewed hope, and celebration amidst difficulty - the commitment of so many people to help bring change and hope to East Africa - all these things amazed and encouraged us. There were many sobering stories and painful injustices that are still occurring, but all in all - eagerness to learn, grow, obey, and walk in the original design God has for each one.

I’m very glad we went. I was touched by that country and its people and all they have endured and yet also seeing who God made them to be and how He is restoring beauty for ashes. They need our prayer, support and fellowship.
